Part of The Compass Archive (The North, The South, The East, and The West): a series of two player card games set in a weird, dark future. Strange machines known as Ancients roam, their tasks forgotten. Looming Facilities dot the landscape, their potentials unknown.
Each game of these games explores this world using different in-games mechanics, but with overlapping themes of combo building, hand management, and multi-use cards.
2 Players. 30 Minutes. 54 Cards.
The South: Terminus is a set collecting game for two players, utilizing multi-use cards and hand management. Players take turns acquiring unique Ancients that are then discarded from their hands for a variety of different in-game effects.
Game play is driven by the Turn Sequence Card, which is passed back and forth throughout the game. As the game is played, players lose points, acquire new cards for their hand or Zone (play area), and score points at the end of the game for the cards beneath their Vault.
